Captain Alexander has been sailing professionally since 1972. Over five decades of bareboat and skippered charters, he has built a reputation for quiet expertise — the kind that comes only from long familiarity with the sea, its weather, and the small bays on charts nobody else bothers to open. He still runs 11 Knots most days in season.
Alexander started sailing professionally in 1972. The harbours are different now, the boats are different, but the mornings at sea have barely changed. Ask him about a particular bay on a particular day and he’ll probably tell you the wind it needs, the month it’s best in, and which taverna to walk to afterwards.

Sail with Alexander
You'll find Alexander at the helm of 11 Knots on most days during the season. On our shared tours he typically skippers the sunset and half-day sails; on private charters he runs the day himself when he's asked for specifically.
